Electric Tongue jack failures
In the 4 years that I have owned my TT, I have had to replace the Electric Tongue Jack twice... Both of these units were Imported Units that I bought on the Auction site... Enough is Enough of those.....

Barker and Atwood both are American made and both carry 2 year warranties…
I can only vote for Barker because it’s the only one I have had, and its been on three trailers since the mid 90’s…
What I can say is it never skipped a beat since new, never had a cover on it, and shamefully I have never done any maintenance on it… it is just one of those things taken for granted because if it’s rock solid operation…
when looking at the crank that came with it I doubt I will have any problems using it, and I’m sure I won’t have to remove the propane tanks, maybe the tank cover if anything but I have the room to move the tanks back several inches more if I need to…
After my experience and all I have read I would replace my Barker with another Barker and be very comfortable with that decision…
However I would not hesitate to buy an Atwood if for whatever reason the Barker wasn’t available and still be comfortable with that decision to…
