In the 4 years that I have owned my TT, I have had to replace the Electric Tongue Jack twice... Both of these units were Imported Units that I bought on the Auction site... Enough is Enough of those... I am sure that the failure on the latest unit was a sheared pin that tore up the gears and it is not worth repairing even if parts were available?? In your experience, what is the best Brand of Electric Tongue Jack that is of good quality and isn't over priced?

Barker seems to be the least troublesome. In my own case I've abused mine for ten years and never have lubed it as the instructions suggest. Yet it goes on forcing the hitch off my truck even when it has to nearly lift the TV up. If it failed tomorrow I would get the same one again.

I've owned three different brands (Barker, Ultra Fab and DTH. Never had a failure other than the need to replace a leaky fuse holder on the Ultra Fab model. I suspect that failure is pretty rare on most brands.

Another vote for Barker. We have a very heavy tongue weight along with an HD truck filled with firewood, tools and other camping necessities and it lifts both with ease.

Barker 3500# It's on it's second trailer. When I traded TT i took it off and put it on the new trailer and put the manual jack back on the trade in.
