That 3 day period was not for lack of generating capacity.
That is the part I don't get.
And yes I could easily make 3 days in my EV. Even 5 days would be easy with advance notice.
But where would I go if the power was out everywhere?
I was just in Ames for the Derecho and no power for 35 hours. Not much to do really but stay in the dark hotel and play cards. At least there was water (cold only).
