Emissions check engine light on 2013 Chevy 3500 Duramax?

This won't help but mine did the same thing last year pulling the grade from Boulder to Estes Park. By the time I was able to get it to a dealer in Loveland it had already cleared itself. I don't remember what they told me but it hasn't happened again and we just got back from a 4500 mile trip last month.
