EquaFlex Bushings

My 2010 trailer came with the EquaFlex suspension with greaseable wetbolts and bronze bushings in the units. I ordered new EquaFlex components for both sides of the trailer today and they come with a composite or perhaps nylon bushings. Perhaps they are "NeverFail" bushings from Lippert..not sure.

Should I remove the old bronze bushings and wet bolts from my old units and reinstall them in the new units, or use the supplied composite/nylon bushings. If so, should I use the wet bolts or buy traditional spring/shackle bolts to use with the new composite/nylon looking bushings?

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • I have had the bronze bushings fail. I am now using the Never Fail ones. I have not seen a single report of the Never Fails... Failing.

One thing is certain. You cannot use the greaseable bolts with the NeverFails. It says so in the instructions.

I think the previous posters are thinking of the "stock"nylon bushings. The Never Fails are different, and relatively new to the market.

Keep the bronze bushings and grease blessed bolts.
X2! There are some people that have had the "Never Fail" bushings....fail.
