The Equal-I-zer and he E2 are NOT similar in design. You can easily see the difference by observing how the WD bars attach to the hitch head.
The only similarity is that they both employ WD bars bearing on L-brackets to generate some amount of sway-resisting friction.
However, the Equal-I-zer also is designed to generate a significant amount of sway-resisting friction at the contact between the top face of the WD bar sockets and the underside of the top of the hitch head.
The Equal-I-zer generates friction at 4 points -- the E2 generates friction at only 2 points.
And, the friction generated at the Equal-I-zer's socket/hitch head interface is significantly greater than the friction generated at the bar/L-bracket interface.
