Ditto. But just to clarify, you don't lubricate the pads. You'll lose the sway control function.
I have the 4 way 12K equal-I-zer and love it. I use the Pads, and I use heavy grease (like wheel bearing grease), around the pivot points. i.e. Friction areas of the sockets where the bars slide in. Use an old tooth brush. I do this before I leave home, then again before I leave the campsite and it stays pretty quiet. The only time I hear it is when I turn sharply backing up sometimes.
