Why the heck would you do that? You only have to get an inspection when you return back to Texas.

so you are saying to totally eliminate Texas as a place to visit for the rest of your life? do you take a chance cutting across TX, which IIRC takes a couple of days, without a current inspection? just make SD your state of residence and avoid the hassle.

    If it meets your needs.

There are other options as well.
  • Howdy!

Your only required to have the vehicle inspected when you return to Texas. While traveling outside the state you can submit a waiver for inspection to renew your registration. Don't let that be a drawback from joining the Escapees.
