I travel by myself mostly. I'm not going to be out there bucking up logs in the middle of nowhere. If I run across a down tree on a road I'll either try to pull it out of the way with my van or just stop there.
I do carry long handled clippers. I was trimming some tiny oak twigs that were brushing the roof of my van the other day. The whole time, this squirrel was up in the tree above me yelling, "You're RUINING IT. You're RUINING MY TREE!" God knows what would happen if I pulled out a pole saw.
