Which model? This one is rated to draw 11 amps @ 12 vdc.

Looks like the manufacturer reported it draws 8-9 amps at startup and until temp is reached. Drops to 3 amps to maintain. I dont know enough about 12v batteries to know how long the normal RV battery could power one off grid. My 12v fridges have always been plugged into the truck while driving and have run overnight without killing the battery or triggering the low voltage shutoff.
