Evergreen EverLite vs. Coachmen APEX help

Hi RVers!
So I am finally ready to purchase a travel trailer, and my choices have come down to a 2011 Evergreen Ever-Lite 31 BHS and a 2014 Coachmen Apex 268BHS. Both of them are VERY LIGHTLY USED, if at all. Both of them will suit our needs pretty well, but the Evergreen is more roomy, particularly in the bathroom and bunks, but the Apex has an outdoor kitchen and is a few hundred pounds lighter.

Have any of you had experience with either of these brands? I am looking for any kind of feedback as far as quality, user experience, etc. I am relatively new to the RV scene and all of the choices out there are a little staggering.

Here are some links to the example models of the trailers so you know what I am talking about:

Thank you all for your help!!!!
  • I own an evergreen Ascend, I don't own a coachman. I don't have and wouldn't want an outdoor kitchen taking up room.

  • Thanks Bumpy! have you had any issues at all with the Evergreen? We are leaning more towards the Evergreen, it is just roomier and seems nicer...

  • I have owned a 2010 Everlite 29fk for the past six years. It has been the most trouble free trailer I have owned. I would not hesitate to buy another. The fact that there is no wood to rot in it's construction was worth the little extra that I paid. Good luck
  • Everlite best trailer out of three brands I have owned . No wood to rot and pulls great
  • As you can see. I have the APEX 288BHS. A GREAT TT. Tows easily, no sway, and after 3 years there are no issues. Of course after the first season we took it back to have a few bugs fixed, Like a loose thread on the cushion, a loose bolt on the AC made it vibrate, And while they had it. they decided to replace the slide boot. We didn't know there was anything wrong with it. There were some scratches on the nose that they buffed out. So in all. We are very satisfied with the TT.

Also it is made of AZDEL, That is why they are so light. No wood in the walls to rot.
  • I am pretty sure the evergreens are made of rot resistant materials as well.......
