evergreen line of TT

So hello everybody.
DW and I are looking to go fulltime in 10 years, so it might be a good time for us to get something small (20 - 28 feet)to get our feet wet and to see if we don't kill each other.(JK)
we went to a RV show this past weekend and saw a few TT that we like, Salem line(27rks) by forest river and the evergreen sun vally lines(s23RB)or S27KS
right now we will be pulling with a 2002 dodge ram 4.7v8 1500, looking to upgrade shocks and brakes on the truck if needed to help with the pull.
we like both of these lines, they both seem to be better quality over lots of other stuff we saw (springdale 225RB).
I do know that evergreen bought the carriage brand, so I was thinking that the build quality would be better, I just don't see many reviews on this new CO.
thanks for the help, I'm sure DW and I will have many more questions coming your way as we prepare for our dream to chuck it all away one day and see this country we call America.
  • Just my opinion, but if your going with an Evergreen RV product, I would get a model (which ever that might be) that uses the most compositec material. When I was looking that was the Everlite model which was a full copositec..no wood to rot construction. If you are concerned with feature you might have to find a 2012 Everlite model or older, because Evergreen is now using wood in their structure and you can not buy a 100% composite construction product from them.
Their support has been great. Dealers seem to be dropping out as far as promoting their products in this area. Dealers of Evergreen Products have been short lived it seems, NJ PA area. They are getting few and far between.
  • Evergreen Everlite was on our short list. The construction quality is really good and the customer service we got from the manufacturer rep/territory sales rep was excellent.

We went with an Forest River Azdel product for two reasons: size of dealer network and Everlite didn't have anything as small as we wanted (although they are making a smaller unit soon).

I think the EG products are fantastic. Best of luck shopping!
  • I have an Evergreen TT, 2010 29fk and love it. The quality is there and they have great customer service. iMO much higher quality than FR.
  • I am biased but will say Evergreen quality should be better than FR. The main reason we purchased Evergreen was for Compositek construction. We had previously experienced a sad case of delamination on a Holiday Rambler (good reputation.)
You might want to check out the Evergreen RV facebook page. there is also a Yahoo evergreen forum you can join ...free.
You may want to buy used to avoid new unit quick depreciation. Do a lot of research . good luck.

Edit: Yes, the customer service is excellent!
