everyday truck ideas needed
Hi, soon my Prius will go to our son.... I am considering a pick up truck, but it will be my daily vehicle, running kids around etc. We'd also use it to throw our bicycles in, and maybe in the future...

Thanks everyone lots to consider! I will go test drive some suitable trucks especially the turbos, I did test a new Ford with the turbo eco engine, We didn’t enjoy the feel, but I’ll try again..and see how it feels! An issue I have is my bike is an EBike and doesn’t fit on a regular bike rack so I imagined rolling it up a ramp into a truck... but bike racks for EBike do also exist but the weight may be an issue for me lifting it onto one... also sometimes we have 5 or 6 bikes with us and we end up loading them into the travel trailer because the excursion tow hitch is towing the trailer but with a truck we’d put them in the truck ;) but...we enjoy towing with the excursion and it has lots of room for us inside...
So the truck would still primarily be my main vehicle...husband actually is a contractor but uses a work van, the truck would be useful for dump runs but that’s not a priority. Also we live near the beach so could sling the body boards and sandy towels etc in the truck...
I think I need to decide if I want a truck that can tow our trailer... or just a smaller truck not for towing! I definitely prefer an high up driving position, the Prius makes my son carsick..
