That's horrible. sure is a helpless feeling.
We have been having the same type of weather and we were being pressured by a guy in Arkansas that wanted to by 4 cows from us. We need to get them to the vet for preg checking before he makes the trip up to buy 4 bred cows. We refused to try to get out of our lane and road until we loose some of the ice and snow cover off of them.
We had visions of doing exactly what you just did but with the cows in the stock trailer. We lost the sale. But you just verified we made the right choice.
