I stopped on a crowned road when it was icy only to start sliding toward the ditch. Luckily the wheels caught the soft shoulder, but that 2wd was stuck until I got pulled back out on level road.

I was also going to suggest you replace your OEM bed with a flat bed or skirted tow bed at this point.
