Silver- love that story :B
Always love a good save, though you and I both know you were in the hands of fate while you were doing all those 360's. Right up until I hit the first tree I kept thinking " I can still save this, I can still.........DOH!"
Butch, yes it's difficult to look at it all bent and broken out there. The insults just keep piling on though. The weather gods are mocking me right now. It's 43 and sunny, and the driveway is DRY. I didn't have to lift a finger to clear the snow. I spent a few hours on the phone this morning, and when I was ready to go outside I saw that the snow was melting so fast there would soon be nothing to scrape off. All the asphalt is completely clear now, and I'm hoping a rollback can come get this today or tomorrow morning. They seem to be kind of busy right now for some reason. I hate those NWS guys. This is not what today's forecast was yesterday! :M
Bedlam, that appears to be what happened. The spring attached to the perches is still in place, but everything else moved about 18" towards the rear bumper on the passenger side. I'll let someone else determine what's bent and what isn't. The rear axle is a really beefy looking, square-tube unit (Dana 110?) that I hope can take a lick like this without bending.
dak said: "Such a beautiful truck too.." Yeah, I know. The boss likes it too. Maybe even more than I do, if that's possible.
Thanks for the info JumboJet, I'll give them a call after I hear what the estimate and plan is.
