Excursion dies upon abrupt stop.
My V10 X dies sometimes upon an abrupt stop, or right after shifting into reverse. It doesn't do it every time, but a couple of times a day. It doesn't die when slowly decelerating up to a stop light...

I had a very similar issue with my old 06 superduty diesel..
Ended up being my battery was loose and kept sliding over and grounding itself out on the frame of my truck.
Check the simple things, you might be lucky and its something stupid like that
