Because ford was way overdue for an upgrade. I just rented an old style Ex. I’d never consider it.

The EB has been in the Expedition for a number of years now. I am sure there are tests, but I don't think Ford winning an acceleration test would be anything new. The difference is the interior of the previous version Ex was very dated. You never heard a review commenting about how good it was - in fact it was the opposite.

If you look at any of the reviews of the new Ex, that has all changed. It isn't just Ford winning at the powertrain, it is the fact that the interior is now best in class as well.
