GM's 5.3 is newer than the Hemi. While the displacement is the same, the 5.3 is all new as of about 2014.

I would agree with you on the 6.0, but that isn't the engine in the Yukon. It is the 6.2, which is a very capable engine. It was just outperformed here by the EcoBoost.

To me the biggest surprise was when they showed EPA estimated fuel economy. The 6.2 has always done well here, but the Ford beat it by 2 MPG.
