Yes, those numbers are pretty much useless. Just looking for a process of elimination with so many variables.
Let's narrow down this SUV TV debate to what's probably going to be the final two decisions, Yuk vs Sub & 1/2 vs 3/4. It's most likely going to be a 04 or 05 4WD. Important piece of the puzzle, I'm not scared of doing 5 grand up a mountain a few days out of the next three years if I get nearly 3 years of better ride and MPG. I'm going to take the family car lot walking and sit in both models, perhaps drive a 3/4 ton (it's been a while since I've driven one) Just like this forum, asking co-workers which motor they like better from Chevy and it all depends on what they recently paid for. I don't think any of my above options are totally wrong, 5.3/6.0/8.1 for that matter. It's going to be more about comfort level in the seat, on the mountain, and at the pump.
