I think you are absolutely correct in both matters. Most folks just don't understand all the dynamics involved traveling with an RV (of any type). And traveling with an RV "IS" different than traveling by auto alone, or driving professionally for a living. The "journey" IS just as important as the "destination" because you just never know when in the "journey" you just might have reached your destination and never planned on it!
Another thing that folks just don't understand, and even some folks on RV net??? We "camp" in our TT, pretty much from Mid March to Jan. When not traveling, vacation, going to a week-end State Park or something, we sleep in the camper, in the driveway right at home, every night! Use the shower, cook, hang out, use our computers, watch television, everything ... right in the drive way. Some folks ask why we have a house at all? Well? We've got to get our electricity and water from somewhere!
