Extended cab vs crewcab

I have owned both (GM products). The CC without a doubt has a much better resale than the extra cab. The extra room is a bonus. When I bought my 2012 2500HD I considered extra cab as its mostly a work vehicle and I wanted to keep the price down. I ran the numbers, both purchase and expected resale value. The CC pays its own way at the end of ownership. Just for the record on the CC backseat. I much prefer the fold down seats of the 800 verse the fold up back seat in the 900 series trucks. I am hoping the next gen goes back to the fold down.
