im sorry about the dumb question as im new to this... I have a tall extension ladder... Im just wondering how I would use this to climb on the roof of my TT without cutting into the edge of the roof? I think even at the shortest section it will still extend past the roof...any hints or tips? I would like to get on roof to spray it off this spring... once again, im sure there is an easy dumb way to do this, but im all new to this..thanks again...

I lean my ladder against the awning. The awning is flexible enough to lay against the trailer and provides some cushioning for the ladder. If I was concerned about damaging the awning fabric I would cover it with a towel.

Tape a rag or something soft on the ladder where it contacts the edge.

I slit and tape on black foam pipe insulation on the ladder edge touching the roof. Works good.

all good ideas. I like that foam pipe one...I have cheapo ones for the pool,can probably run a few feet....hopefully I don't fall on my arse though from it sliding...LOL

I use foam "Noodles", too. I cut to length at about 12", then split lengthwise to slip them over the edge of the ladder that would be in contact with the edge of the trailer roof.

I buy the "Noodles" kids use in swimming pools. Thicker than the pipe insulation cut to any length and can notch to fit around rungs. Dollar store has them.

I use a telescoping ladder. I had a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet and had it stitched to make a cap that slips over the top of the ladder. I raise the ladder only high enough for the cap to touch the edge of the trailer.
