Extra large dinette vs. separate dinette and couch

So...what are the opinions of one arrangement over the other? I can see if you really need the extra sleeping capacity of both dinette and couch convertible beds. Are there other reasons one would b...

I have seen four options of eating area next to sitting area. Above is what Cruiser calls the Mega Lounge, or Open Range calls U-Lounge. Then there is the standard U-lounge most MFRs call like this Lacrosse 318:
