Even though a bearing buddy is better than doing nothing at all, as others have said it is always better to dismantle and inspect when it is time.
that said I do mine every 20,000 miles and to most folks pulling a travel trailer that may be every 5 years and to others thats every other year.
thats when I check the brakes and tires for replacment.
