With a 30' trailer you winf up the the tail wagging the dog. AS noted, the 1/2 tn truck suspension and running gear are aimed at passenger car comfort. The 3/4 ton trucks will have bigger brakes, HD suspension,etc.
Been there and done that with not enough truck to properly control the trailer.
