Or people that own 1/2 tons, in general, just look at one number the tow rating and completely disregard the other numbers. This is what I see all the time in traveling, they see it's rated to tow 11K and that's all they care about.
It's well known that 3/4 ton trucks and SRW trucks are tire and paper limited, not component limited. A 1/2 ton is component limited, and design specs are geared more towards ride than tow/hauling.
