Probably a very similar percentage compared to all 1/2 tons used for those purposes. Like it or not, the majority of trucks are probably used to get from point A to B, maybe pick up the occasional large appliance from the department store or bring home a load of mulch. Personally I'm glad, this allows for a nice selection of non abused trucks on the used market.
You know, all trucks don't have to look like this to be considered a real truck.
Sorry, but it's a legitimate question. Driving back and forth is one thing, but working the truck hard is another, either through towing, abusive work environment, frequent heavy payloads, whatever. No secret that the crew cab half ton pickup is the new minivan. Ford sells a lot of F-150's and I'm sure they would have the market research stats that show who's buying them. So put down the Kool Aid and relax people, I'm not speaking blasphemy of your idol............
