Would rather have a Superduty myself, but I drive 640 miles a week, and only use the truck occasionally for towing a trailer I bought specifically to be towed by my old F150, which did it perfectly well. That Ecoboost is an amazing engine that none of the others can compare to. I just could not justify the extra costs for a Superduty since it would be a 1 ton to get payload, and would be Diesel since, well, Superduty. No sense getting a 1 ton gas truck, especially after my last Superduty was a Screw LB Powerstroke, just wouldn't feel right.
Compared to my F150, Ram can't hold a candle to it. Not in the Tech, not in the power, nor in the comfort. That stupid shift knob killed it for me. I had a rental that I tried before getting my current truck and didn't like it, so didn't even bother looking after that. None of the others have an engine like the Ecoboost that can tow up the mountains without effort. Sorry but Ford has the best when it comes to towing in the 1/2 ton market, just too bad the past three years of the F150 are squirrely when towing, but I hear the 2018 fixed all that with a stiffer frame and hitch. Hoping that adding Sumosprings resolves this last bit if wiggle, then it will be just as good a TV as my 2014 was. That was the best truck I ever owned and was lost long before it's time due to ice and another driver losing control. This is another reason I stick with Ford, been in two head on crashes in Fords and walked away from both. The new trucks have an even better crash rating, and after seeing the aftermath of a 55 MPH offset where the front was destroyed but the passenger compartment was untouched, and the driver walked away, it confirms my belief in the F150.
