I've seen a trans leak from there in the past. Does it only appear clear because not enough fluid has accumulated? Did you dab it with a white paper towel to confirm it is clear? Trans fluid can appear clear if there isn't much of it in the first place. I can assure you that Ford's trans fluid is still pinkish/red. When a friend's truck leaked, it was nearly clear and ever so faintly pink when I dabbed it onto a paper towel. But it definitely smelled like trans fluid and it was a leak right out the rear shaft.
