Last trip, I noticed my 2012 F150 3.5 ecoboost started to heat up about 5 minutes into a hard climb. Slowed to 60mph and it went back to normal. So I'm looking at having the radiator hot tanked and ...
Pulled my 6000 lb trailer up Colorado highway 160 in the Rockies to the 10,000+ foot summit, no signs of overheating at all. The tranny dropped to fourth gear and we didn't have to slow down a bit. Engine temp didn't move, the tranny temp went from the usual 195 to 204, which went back down 60 seconds after reaching the summit. The Eco does not have overheating issues unless something needs attention.
