For some reason the beer can argument doesn't seem to support the facts. The industry is moving that way and yeah I wouldn't buy a truck made with beer can alloy either, but 5000 and 6000 series alloy is some seriously hard stuff. If you guys only knew what went into making it.

Thanks for sharing... Aside from the joke that Don intended, most here (including myself) don't have the technical knowledge of this material that is being used on these new trucks. Because of this most people relate to aluminum to their experience hence the aluminum beer cans.
I understand. I'm privy to a lot more info than I should share here. After seeing what happened to tireman9 I should just keep my mouth shut.
