I don't have a problem calling the 1000 a transitional part. Design application of light and medium duty. But yo say it's not ment for med duty period.... I can't agree on that. Is it as strong per day as others I mentioned. No! To say and imply it's not a good or effective transmission from its design spec application. I can't agree with that.
I do admit, from a how I tow etc, the gears in the Asian and wide spaced allison is the better option for me. If I was more highway oriented, I'd take the narrow band gearing.
