With all the weird stuff going on in manufacturing between the Plandemic effects and chip shortages and everything else, who knows. It should have been out already but Ram held off on inking an agreement with ZF until not too long ago. Presumably because Allison was courting them too.

Well, now you got me doing a bit of searching on my own. The most recent info I can find anywhere (late February from Pickuptrucks.com) says they are sure that RAM is going with the same 10 speed Allison that is used in the GM twins.

Just two months earlier, they were sure it was going to be Allison, but a brand new transmission that is a 9 speed.

Further searching brings back the rumors of the ZF. So who knows. But it does sound like some sort of update is in the works.
