Sound like a classic example of worn out shocks especially with the weight the truck is carrying.
1300 lb camper can weigh 1800 lb + loaded
now add another 100 lbs to the truck for necessary junk
now add all the occupants weights
My point is if the F150 has those small 3800-3900 lb RAWR (if thats the case) it may be overloaded which can even make the rear suspension with new HD shocks porpoise.
I would also suggest getting some actual scaled axle weights. The trucks rear may need bags and LT tires if your over those RAWR numbers.
RAWR = tires....wheels....and rear spring pack.
