honestly. you will never get the 2500 truck owners to admit that a 150 can tow, and tow well. You will never get them to admit that "Some" F150s have a higher payload than "Some" F250s. There is a 250 for sale in this area that only has a 1400lb payload capacity. Why. the diesel is so heavy, it take it all. My F150 has a 1800lb pay load. Which one would I rather use. The 150 of course. More truck than the above mentioned 250.
Also If you check you will find there is really no such thing as a 1/2 ton truck, Unless you are talking about a Ranger, or Canyon. The 1500s, and 150s all have a higher payload than 1/2 ton. BTW, 1/2 ton equals 1000lbs. So as "most" 1500s, and F150s have at least 1500lb of payload. that pretty much makes them 3/4 ton truck, as 1500lb is 3/4 of a ton.
So find the truck that best suits your needs. Our opinions will just mess you up.
