I've never seen anyone on the forum complain because they had too much truck.
Well, you can never say that again.
I HATED this truck
It was TOO much truck for my needs. Best day of my automotive life was when that truck drove off into the sunset with its new owners.
9 mpg.. hot floor boards...uncomfortable seats..handled terribly. Wrong truck for me and my families needs.
Sure did look good though.
Must admit that the 05 and up Superduties handle much nicer.
OP
My next truck will likely be a "Half ton" with 1500-1900 lbs of payload...I'm a Ford guy traditionally. I have owned half a dozen Ford trucks and two Ram's. I've had two motors fail on me in my life so far and they were both GM's.
That being said... The 2015 F150 doesn't appeal to me right now. I just can't get accustomed to that front end.
Seems I am in a minority here because they are selling like hot cakes around here.
My previous dually was an example of over-trucking... I would have been much better served by a truck that met ALL my automotive needs. Not just pulling a trailer.
I would often have to park in four spaces like the F450 above. Just not an easy vehicle to live with when not towing... now that's just for ME.. different people have different needs.
A half ton with 400 lb ft of tq, 360-400 hp is more than enough for me, if the payload can get up to 1500 ish lbs plus. These are much more truck than many of the 3/4 tons of the past.
Thanks!
