Yes, some stripper 2wd reg cabs can get up in payload.
The stripper crew cab 4x4s can be a max 2000#. However, the real world normally equipped crew cabs are 1700# or so according to most members here.
You can get a 2015 F150, XLT, Supercrew, 4x4, with HD payload package with over 2500 lbs payload. That's hardly what I would call a stripper model.
Looks like I was a little late - already covered.
You may have been a little late, but it was worth repeating. Some people are biased even when presented with the facts.
My numbers are right off the charts linked in a previous post, which clearly state they are MAXIMUMS. Maximum means to me that the least optioned truck in that configuration will eek out this amount of payload. Real world numbers are going to be lower. Reality, not bias.
For example, if you look in the Ram charts, my truck's payload is listed as 3430#. My truck's actual payload is 3040#. Brochure vs reality.
Much like RV dry weights. Brochure vs reality.
Some may be dumb enough to buy into the numbers from an advertising webpage or a glossy brochure. Then there are those of us that prefer facts.
