F150 w/ 3.5L POWERboost towing experiences?

I’m looking to get a ‘22 F150 Lariat w/ the 3.5L Powerboost engine and Max Trailer tow package. For those of you that have a similar truck…
How heavy is your travel trailer?
What type of terrain to you tow on? Mountains? Hills? Flat?
How does the truck perform?

If you meet the numbers, then go for it

Yes, I have. I was hoping to get more travel trailer specific experience.

  • The Ford Powerboost trucks are common on dealer lots and have been for some time since they came out in the 2021 models. And yes, it is a 3.5 Ecoboost engine with an electric motor. But the Powerboost has more hp and torque.

I bought a 2022 with Ecoboost as I don’t plan on towing very heavy and leery of new until it is proven 2-3 years.
  • I think you're jumping the gun here. You're talking about a brand new powertrain here, in a year where production has been delayed. Have any of these even hit dealer lots yet? On top of that you're asking in the middle of winter, far from prime camping season.

Though if I were to speculate, it's a 3.5L Ecoboost engine coupled to an electric motor. I can't believe it's anything but better than a straight Ecoboost as long as the battery holds out.
