If $4,500 is an accurate figure? IDK I think the OP would be better off using those funds for a different truck vs. spending on upgrading the gears on the current truck.
A 3/4 ton truck is sufficient for most bumper pull RV's.
However it is very limited when it come to 5th wheels. Why invest money in a 5th wheel towing truck with major limitations?
