Are there any others out there who have an F250 like what I am looking at buying and haul a similar camper to what I am looking at?
Up until a few years ago I hauled a ~4000lbs Northern Lite (and gear) on a 8800GVWR 97' F250. In 2017 I upgraded to a 10,000GVWR 2017 F250.
The 97' had 16" tires/rims that I ended up replacing with 19.5" Vision Heavy Hauler rims and Toyo class "G" tires. I never did use the airbags I had installed at the same time.
Fast forward to 2017 (and new truck) and I replaced the OEM 18" tires/rims on the new truck with the set of 19.5" rims/tires I had on the old truck. In this case I do use 15PSI of airbag pressure to level out the headlights.
Like I mentioned before, keep an eye on your tire ratings (you might want to weigh the truck/camper/gear packed for camping) and compare to your tire ratings. The rear axle
Axle Ratings on Ford Super Duty pickups is plenty.
Go camping and make lots of memories!
