we find the Fords we have ridden in to be more comfortable than the other 2 brands. We enjoy the exhaust brake in our truck but we haven't compared it against other trucks ( its hard to compare without a load)
We enjoy the Fords power. Yeah I know it has 5lbs less torque than the Ram but it does have more than 50 HP more.
The whole package of our truck gives us a wonderful experience when using it and even it's size you get use to. But those wide hips do add stability.
In a lot of ways it's not much different than when I had motorcycles and sports cars as daily drivers. There were limitations you had to put up with to use the vehicle of choice. If you get hung up on what you don't like about your vehicle you can replace it.
If you are hung up on somebody else's choice ,,,well to bad. It's not your decision to make.
We don't feel we have the only good truck out there , We are just very happy with ours and think it is the best truck for us.
