F350 towing cap

I have a 1999 F350 with a 7.3 diesel engine.The gvwr on it is 11200.I have a 41 foot toy hauler and the gvwr is 18100.Is their anyway I can install a airbag system or put some bigger springs on my truck to bring my gvwr up on my truck? Thanks

  • I think you are misunderstanding the numbers...?

    What is the available payload for your truck and what is the weight pin weight of your 5er?

    To answer your question though, there is nothing you can do to change your GVWR. Air bags will upgrade the suspension portion, but you still have to worry about braking, axle weights, tire weights, etc etc.
  • You really can't change the GVWR with springs or bags. You only change the ride height under load.

    How much does your truck lack in GVWR for carrying the pin weight plus cargo/passengers?
