If it's a GM it's normal. I think my 08 GMC is supposed to be 34 gal. I've never gotten more than a bit over 27gal in it. That was long after the gauge read empty and the puter screaming EMPTY. Normally at empty it's 24-25 gal. An I have no reason to think it doesn't hold what they claim.
