Fan ideas

I would love to get a MaxxFan. I looked on their authorised dealer finder and could not find one within 100 miles. I also checked Dallas and Chicago zip codes and 100 mile range and found none. Where can you buy their items and still have warranty coverage. It appears Amazon is not authorized.

I am an O2 fan guy..Portable to put where ever you need the flowing air..I have 3-5" battery operated and 1-10"(soon to be 2) AC/DC and battery operated..By a window they suck in the outside air and above a heat source they circulated the air...When the electricity went out at the house,I used the 10" to circulate the wood stove heat throughout the house.

On a picnic table outside, they help keep the skeeters away whom are poor at flying in a breeze..For smokers they blow the smoke out a window...

I am curious if the 7350 power vent cover has issues with a vent cover that goes over the vent? Planning to put one in the bathroom with a cover so we can leave it open while driving down the road. Might want to do that with the other two as well. I like the idea of rain sensing. We had one on our previous Solera and it worked really well.

if there is AC wire, you can pull the other end out of the AC breaker box and use it to supply 12V up to the vent. now you got your 12V wire :).

I have a reversible, 3 speed, rain sensor closing model of Fantastic Vent. Works great. With the solar panel, I can leave it run all day on low blowing in to prevent smells with a window cracked. Works great, takes the edge off on hot days. I actually have 2 with another in the bathroom. Overkill but with both running, I can move a lot of air drying the bathroom after a shower or venting the entire TC fast. If you remove the inner cover of your existing ceiling vent, there may well be 12 volt wiring already in place, there was on my TC when I installed mine. The MAXFAN cover would be nice for rain and ability to drive with the fan open driving, or just get the MAXFAN itself. Good luck!

Agree- I wouldn't expect 12v to be inside, I assume, an AC pre wire box. However there may 12v run into the vent hole itself. I'd pull the inside trim/garnish ring, might get lucky. Mine didn't have 12v run to AC hole, though I had a light within 18" to tap when we 1st added the F/F.

The A/C pre-wire is AC power, the Vent fan uses 12v DC power.

There won't be DC wires in a box with AC wiring for the A/C in it.
