I have the Fanatic vent model 7350. it has everything from variable speed to auto close. Ours is in vent over bunk. at night we only open windows on both sides of bunk with fan on exhale.
If it starts to rain we open center window behind truck cab and close bunk side windows.
during day we close bunk windows and open either door or a back window to get flow through whole camper.
1) its always on exhale. (even then you need to clean screen about every 2 days)
2) The thermostat part works nice where it will slow down as heat level inside drops.
3) the remote is nice.
4) the ability to turn off the rain sensor is nice. Sometimes at night as the fan slows down dew can collect on the sensor forcing the lid to close (even when it has a cover on it). the thing is not exactly quiet when it cranks closed and it will wake you up. Plus it gets hot real quick when that air flow stops.
I also installed the correct vent cover (fantastic cover) so the lid opens all the way.
I first had in it installed in my Wolf Creek. Had to have motor replaced (free) because it sounded like it has crickets in it.
Than we had it moved to Arctic Fox (did they move just the control guts?).
Had to have that motor replace also for same squeak. But its been squeak free since.
in national campground where you can't use generators at night, this fan allows us to sleep (well) up to around 85 deg (at night) Above that point even moving air don't help.
