I have put in several over the years. just read the instructions and have all the tools you need on hand. As far as the stretch to turn it off and on I ran a wire to the wall light switch and put in a double face plate. both the light and the fan switch are side by side. sometimes I wish I had put in a timer switch. you can get the power for the fan from the nearest light.
