As far as the factory original jack goes, I'm not really surprised that it works - mostly.

Thing is, in my younger days - late 60s, early 70s - I worked in a garage and did a lot of tire work with the commercial grade stuff. Every time I look at one of the factory jacks, I can't help thinking: "Man, what a cheap piece of ****!"

Personally, I'm delighted to have something better than that along.

YMMV, of course.
