Fastway Hitch

Been towing for years (since 1988) with a '65 Chevy Van and the standard WD hitch has been working well. Recently bought an '04 GMC Envoy to tow 22' Tahoe TT, mainly cause it has A/C and the van don't.

The old WD hitch doesn't seem to work as well with the new TV-TT combo so thought I'd get another Equal-I-zer (had one once and loved it). While looking around on the internet saw that there is a cheaper Fastway E2 hitch that uses the same anti-sway concept as the EQ. Anybody use these? Are they any good?

Also, anyone else towing with a Trailblazer or Envoy?

    Of course the sway control "concept" is the same as the Equal-i-zer as Fastway is Progress Mfg company ... the E2 is simply a dumbed down, less costly version of the Equal-i-zer, offering 2-point sway control instead of 4. Unlike the Equal-i-zer which uses trunnion bars only the E2 is available in both trunnion and round bar styles so if ground clearance is an issue you'd want to use the trunnion style.

    No hitch head sockets where the vast majority of the sway control capability originates.

    I've used one for two years. Works great.

    I have used a Fastway E2 round bar hitch for about six years & think that it is great, easy to hitch up and unhitch :)

    I have no complaints about my 10000# trunnion E2. It's even quiet when turning which was a surprise.
