- Let's hope this thread about the FCA Ecodiesel fine doesn't get deleted like mine did.
It appears Ram turned off the emissions devices when the Ecodiesel is running under heavy load. If the last Ike test showed that it couldn't even hold 55 mph towing a little over 7k with the emissions devices turned off, I wonder what it will do with the new tune that keeps it on. - I suppose the $2,800 payment to the EcoDiesel owners is because with the latest flash (no pun intended)the engine/truck doesn't perform as advertised for fuel economy and perhaps performance.
What's troubling was Ram took the position their Ecodiesel was EPA compliant, but now it's clear they weren't. - I guess dodge missed the Volkswagen debacle
- If you still own the vehicle like me, the payout should be $3,075 plus there is an extension on the warranty for at least some items.
- They didn't do what VW did. VW turned on the emissions specifically when it sensed the test computer being plugged in. On the EcoDiesel, the emissions are on unless the engine is under heavy load. At least that's how I understood it.

Did Ram even sell a 2018 Ram EcoDiesel being they stopped production and didn't sell these for ~1 year?- They started reselling them.
Wife has a 2018 Jeep GC ecodiesel.
Further googling came up with 2016 being latest model year that qualified.
My BIL has a 2014 Jeep GC, so he would qualify for the $3000+ mkirsch wrote:

Yep. But that doesn’t fit the OP’s narrative of bashing and trolling FCA.- He posted a link about them having to pay a settlement for cheating emissions qualifications. Not sure how any of that is on the OP?
